When I was little, my family went on a trip to Hawaii. It was something I have never forgotten and since then, I have loved all things Hawaiian and Polynesian. So, when I saw these ceramic tiki mugs, I had to have them. My sister, who also shares my enthusiasm for all things Hawaiian, was nice enough to get them for me for Christmas.
I have been back to the islands many times since then and every time I get home, I miss them. So, I love to have a little reminder at home… and I do, every time I want something to drink.
I’ve seen a few different sets of ceramic tiki mugs. This particular one that I have (pictured) is a set of four. Each mug holds 10 oz. and is about 5 1/2″ high. They are lead free. The manufacturer suggests you hand wash them. They are not microwave safe, so don’t nuke them. I’m not sure why you’d want to anyway, because they’re best with cool drinks and cocktails.
I’ve seen these ceramic tiki mugs at a few shops, but you’re most likely to find them in stock at Amazon.
